Club Underground - NE Minneapolis
And The Rock Gods Smiled...

And yea, The Rock Gods reached down into their demonic bag of licks and tricks, and found a miracle.

The festival of Rocktober is nigh upon us, and we have been graced with an unfounded blessing. A ghost of rock past has resurrected itself, to be Unleashed In Nordeast again. Yes, Motley Tuesdays is having a reunion performance at Club Underground at the Spring Street Tavern. We welcome this carnival of chicanary as a blessing to both the olde schoolers of the Crue, and those that have only heard the legends of the days when the club, and Motley Tuesdays, nurtured each other in the same womb. This reunion holds the makings of greatness, and is certainly an event not to be missed. All the rites will be observed; Rock DJ's, Band On The Rocks, The Immaculate Jam (featuring all the chaos SHIT can bring as the host band), and in lieu of Metal Karaoke, a Guitar Hero Fiasco! For those of you who never made it out to the original events, this is your chance to find out what all the buzz was about. for those of you in the know... Welcome back for this Great Night of  Rock's hey-day personified and personalized. One night only, Tuesday, October 7th.

Why does this require a front page article? If you were there when it was a regular Tuesday event, you already know.

A Few Odd Things

Well...

It's obviously been a bit since I have updated this. Sorry for any confusion this has caused. Technology, which normally has been on my side for years, has decided to declare war on me. Countermeasures have been instituted, and sanctions against my laptop and cellphone have been issued to help prevent this in the future. Obviously, to those who have checked our web site and our ads, have seen some of the evidence of this.

Apparently there is some recalcitrance on the parts of administration (city and neighborhood, upper management, Etc.) concerning the outdoor NxNE event we started last year. Keep the requests and questions pouring in, and it will help me blow that away to get the show back outside, with a full day of great music here in North-East.

And finally...

Raise a glass with me for a moment in honor of Earl Root, Chris Johnson, and Stephen Prescot.

All three of these people have touched us here at the club in many ways, and we are diminished by there passing. (If you know me, you know I am actually raising a Guinness, and draining it in about 7 seconds right now)

Cheers!

Josh

Welcome to Club Underground
Changing of the guard: Marc Bowen, whose vision inspired, drove, and shaped Club Underground at The Spring Street Tavern, leaves us to pursue other endeavors. It is with a strong measure of sadness that we bid him farewell. We will be continuing with a diverse and eclectic range of bookings, a fun atmosphere, and a wicked-cool staff, as he would expect us to. Enough cannot be said about the efforts Marc put in to making this club a reality. His humor, perseverance and patience in making this club happen will not be forgotten. This obviously states that we will be moving forward, and continuing in the standards that were laid out from the beginning: great live shows, in a comfortable neighborhood environment, with great staff.

And, in the words of the great shows of the past:

"Ladies and gentlemen, Marc has left the building"

watch out, though. He may make a reappearance with a booking here and there....

You can contact Josh through the Club Underground Booking Request Form
